Insurance Billing Virtual Assistant (US Healthcare) - Part-Time $4-5/hr Hours: ~10 hrs/week flexible · Pay: $4-5/hr (DOE) · Type: Long-term remote · Schedule: Flexible with a weekly check-in About Us We're Body Ache Escape a busy therapeutic massage and skincare practice in Ohio USA. We're a friendly team that takes great care of our clients - including military veterans we serve through the VA. We're looking for a reliable detail-loving billing VA to join us for the long haul and take ownership of our insurance billing. What You'll Do This role owns the claim-to-cash cycle for our insurance clients: Submit & track claims - prepare and send claims then keep an eye on their status through to payment Post payments & reconcile - apply payments accurately and make sure everything ties out Work denials & aging - follow up on denied rejected or unpaid claims and keep the aging report clean You'll work primarily in Mindbody (our practice software) plus a clearinghouse for claim submission and tracking. Our two main payers are VA Community Care (through Optum) and Ohio BWC (Bureau of Workers' Compensation) - if you haven't worked these specific programs before that's okay we'll train you on the details. What We're Looking For Must have: Experience with US medical/insurance billing (claims payment posting AR follow-up) Solid understanding of the claims process: submission EOBs/remittance denials and resubmission Strong written English and clear prompt communication Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numbers Dependability and good follow-through - you keep things from falling through the cracks Comfort handling confidential health information professionally Nice to have (not required): Experience with Mindbody and/or a clearinghouse Familiarity with VA Community Care / Optum or workers' comp billing Knowledge of CPT codes used in therapy/healthcare settings Schedule & Pay About 10 hours per week to start with flexibility on when you work A weekly check-in with us is all we need - you don't need to be online during specific US hours $4-5/hr depending on experience We're looking for a long-term team member with room to grow as we do How to Apply Please reply with: A short intro telling us about your US medical billing experience - what payers/systems you've worked with and the kinds of billing tasks you've handled Your résumé (attached or linked) To show us you read this post carefully please start your message with the word CLAIMS . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end referral process ensuring accurate coordination between providers insurance companies and patients to facilitate timely access to care.
