Remote Legal Document Prep Assistant (PT or FT)
Our small client-focused (US based) law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Doc Prep Assistant to join our legal team. In this position you ensure the seamless preparation and management of legal documents and deadlines. WHO WE ARE : We aim to offer compassionate personalized legal services at every touch-point. We help clients who are planning for their own estates ( Estate Planning ) and clients whose family members have recently died ( Probate / Estate Administration ). WHAT YOU'LL DO: We use templates and forms to assist with document creation but do NOT simply churn out generic documents - instead we carefully personalize each client's plan. The Legal Document Prep Assistant will do data entry and proof-reading to ready documents for attorney review. As skills increase so will opportunities with other parts of our practice. HOW WE WORK: We aim to support each other and our clients well! This position is a far cry from a data center with a disconnected role! Instead you will work directly with our 2 attorneys and paralegal and with our client care coordinator. As an integral part of our small team you will: Glean data from client intake forms and prepare documents for attorney review ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist in managing deadlines for estate (probate) cases maintaining strict timelines. Perform drafting and other tasks as requested by the attorney. Key Requirements: Proficiency in MSWord and other standard office tools. Strongly prefer previous experience in a legal setting ideally with estate planning and probate. Past office experience is required. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. High dependability with demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment. INTERESTED?
