I am Charmie Escudero Magbutay, 45 years old, a housewife, a mother and a former employee. I have been in the office-desk industry for almost twenty years now. Ever since I became a mother, my number one priority now is my child. But, I still need to support my family as well that’s why I wanted to look for a job that can inspire me to develop as an individual and at the same time contribute to that organization’s growth, within the confides of my workspace at home In those 20 years of office-desk work, I’ve been at different kinds of industry and honed my skills and knowledge to where I am right now. I have been a team leader for a local Bank for almost 3 years where I personally handle customer complaints and course through the management any kind of problem that would hinder us to meet the company’s goals and targets. I had also the privilege of working at an Electronics Company in the Philippines. I stayed there for almost 7 years and handle different kinds of work. I was a Quality Control – Inspector, and had to make sure that quality standards are implemented for product quality in all sections. I got promoted or transferred as Quality Control – Sub Leader, where I had the chance to lead a group of people in ensuring compliance to standard Operating Procedures and Process flow. I was once a calibration staff on same company and this time my line of work involved admin tasks such as making and submitting monthly reports, conducting training and seminars related to our line of business and monitored measuring tools and equipment of the company. Quality Inspector and Admin Officer have been the career that I have pursued. At a private Calibration Laboratory, I had the pleasure of being a Quality Management Representative where I made sure that the quality system was implemented and followed all the time. I also generated and reviewed document and report employee performance with regard to the quality management system. I was also an HR Supervisor at the same company where I develop and maintain a human resource system that meets top management information needs. I also did interview, test and select employees to fill vacant positions. Lastly, the last position I handled before settling in as a mother and housewife was Administrative Manager at a freestanding Dialysis Center where I stayed for almost 2 years. One of my task was to develop policy, direct and coordinate human resource activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, trainings, and employee services. These experiences and job skills helped me to become an independent and efficient contributor in the company. It helped me to become a team player and persistent and tenacious in all that I do.
