Telecom and pay-TV field service teams don't usually lose their SLAs because technicians are careless, they lose them because nobody owns the middle: the space between a request coming in and an installer actually showing up. I own that middle. At MultiChoice Nigeria, I coordinate the full installation-request lifecycle, and when a location has limited installer coverage, I don't wait for it to become a problem. I find the alternative technician, place the job on their calendar myself, and follow it through to completion. Here's what that's produced: → ~20 installation requests routed and followed up daily, across a nearly 1,000-technician installer network → ~15 work orders logged and maintained daily in FSS, with accurate records preserved even when installations are later declined → ~20 installer tasks monitored daily through TOOKAN, catching jobs before they fall behind schedule → Recognised directly by my line manager for consistent performance Alongside this, I run an independent business registration and compliance practice, 50+ client cases managed from inquiry to completion, and a six-stage Trello workflow I built myself to replace manual WhatsApp [hidden] spreadsheet tracking.
