In 2021, I was pulled into a temporary assignment with our Credit and Collections team, where the work got a lot more personal. I was negotiating repayment plans for clients who had fallen behind on their loans, preparing debt restructuring schemes, reviewing reinstatement eligibility, and working directly with people who were genuinely stressed about their financial situation. That experience taught me something I still carry: you can hold a firm line on compliance and policy while still treating people with dignity. Those two things aren't opposites. Learning to balance them made me a much better communicator — and honestly, a more patient one. On the technical side, MS Excel is where I'm most comfortable — VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, production reports, pipeline tracking — I used these daily, not occasionally. I also worked inside CRISIL's Credit Processing System for file management and data entry throughout my entire career, and I'm certified in both Xero Advisor and QuickBooks Online. Beyond that, I've completed training in virtual bookkeeping, financial statement analysis, and business writing. I don't just collect certifications — I actually use what I learn. I also embrace AI tools in a practical way. I regularly use ChatGPT and Claude for drafting professional communications, organizing complex information, summarizing documents, and working through tasks more efficiently. I don't think of it as a shortcut — I think of it as what lets me spend more time on the judgment calls that actually require a human. There's a difference between using technology well and hiding behind it, and I try hard to stay on the right side of that line.
