Good day! I am Ma. Krissan Manikan Tan, an opera singer and a music teacher. I graduated at the Santa Isabel College Conservatory of Music with a degree in Bachelor of Music, Major in Vocal Performance and earned a recognition of “Outstanding Vocal Performer”. I also have a Diploma in Musical Studies which I obtained at the Paris Conservatory where I studied as a scholar of the French Government. I am now pursuing my Master’s Degree in Music, Major in Vocal Performance at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. Currently, I work as a Music Consultant/Therapist at TCI Village, Inc. Rehabilitation Center. I provide individual music lessons to people as young as 12 years old to seniors at 65 years old. I am able to work with people with various addictions and conditions like ADHD, Autism, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and others. I do group/class sessions as a form of therapy to the residents of the facility where they use music as a tool for recovery and personal development. I am also able to create and direct musical events for the facility. I also provide private music lessons since 2013 (singing, piano, music theory, solfeggio, ear-training) to individuals and families, face-to-face and online. I am an active events/concert performer based in the Philippines. At this point in my career, I am looking at the possibility of teaching in a school setting. I believe I have a vast experience in working with young individuals and groups.
